How to travel from Hakone to Takayama 2009/8/11 Hakone I plan to go straight from Narita Airport to Hakone, then spend a night there. The next day, I plan to go to straight from Hakone to Takayama (via Nagoya station). Are there a train from Narita straight to Odawara, and are there a train from Odawara station direct to Nagoya station? I plan to by JR Pass for this by P Phan   ... 2009/8/11 Are there a train from Narita straight to Odawara No, you have to change trains once along the way. and are there a train from Odawara station direct to Nagoya station? You are going to spend a lot of your first few days on trains and will be very tired, esp if you are coming from US/Europe with jet-lag. Bear in mind that unless your flight arrives searly morning getting to Hakone in time for ryokan dinner is difficult. Unless you are REALLY pushed for time I suggest you slow down�@�|Hakone to Takayama is MINIMUM of 5 hours door to door.
