Mt. Fuji from Kawaguchiko in September 2009/8/13
Hi.

I'm planning to clinb Mt. Fuji in September 7th from Kawaguchiko trial but I've noticed that in September the last bus to 5th station is at 13.50h. (http://www.japan-guide.com/bus/fuji.html).

Do you know if there are more buses in the afternoon to climb the mountain during the night?

Other question: Do you know if the Kawaguchiko train station have boxes to store luggage for hours?

Thanks in advance.

No. Access is one of the major challenges of climbing off-season.

Yes, there are coin lockers:

Than when? I hear that there are still quite a few climbers in early September, especially on the weekends.

If you want to climb Fuji-san, why don't you make a better plan?

Will climb the 6:th of september 2009/8/22
Diego,

I'll attempt to do the climb the 6:th of September. I'll be starting at the Sengen Shrine in the morning, rest at the fifth station and the do a night climb to catch the sunrise.

Good for you! But climbing more than 2.5 kilometers in altitude difference within 24 hours is certainly not something for the average climber.
