Kurobe Alpine Route Transportation 2009/8/15 Toyama We are planning to explore Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route on our own(not following tour) Can we pre-book and how purchase tickets for transportation starting from Shinano-Omachi to Toyama Stn via the Kurobe Alpine Route. Clifford by clifflim   ... 2009/8/16 Can we pre-book and how purchase tickets for transportation starting from Shinano-Omachi to Toyama Stn via the Kurobe Alpine Route. Transportation along the Alpen Route works on a first-come first-serve system. Reservations cannot be made. Therefore, there is no reason to purchase tickets in advance. If you come from Shinano-Omachi, pay for the bus to Ogizawa, where you can buy a ticket for the Alpen Route all the way to Toyama Station. Alternatively, note that JR sells some combination tickets that combine the train ticket to the Alpen Route with the ticket for transportation along the Alpen Route.
