In search of Koyo 2009/8/21 Dear Members, I usually visit Japan during November to enjoy Koyo in Kyoto but this year, my schedule is different. I plan to visit for a few weeks in mid October. According to the Koyo chart, it looks like I will be far too early to enjoy Koyo in Kansai. Can anyone recommend a different location where I could see some nice leaves? I will be flying into KIX so somewhere not too far from there would be great. How about Kanazawa or Takayama or other places where it gets cold earlier. I tried to understand the information on kouyou.nihon-kankou.or.jp but it is difficult for me.
