Hakodate: morning market, red brick warehouse, Mt. Hakodate, Fort Goryokaku, Motomachi - is 2 days enough?

Sapporo: Odori Pk, Ishuya Chocolate Factory, Clock tower, Beer Garden.

Asahikawa Zoo - 1 day - is it worth going?

Niseko ski resort - 2 nights

We will have 9 tour days in Hokkiado.

Thank you so much and hope i would able to get some advises.

One day is enough.

Sapporo: Odori Pk, Ishuya Chocolate Factory, Clock tower, Beer Garden.

1-2 days.

Asahikawa Zoo - 1 day - is it worth going?

If you like zoos, yes, it is worth going. It is a very unique zoo.

Hi Uji,
THanks for your reply and advise, truly appreaciate it. I've some questions here:

Hakodate: beside the places listed above, is there any places of interest? intend to stay 3 nights and could it be too long?

Asahikawa Zoo - heard that the zoo is small, is 1/2 a day enough?

Ski Resort: Intend to stay in Niseko Hilton Village hotel. We will not be skiing, the children will like to play with the snow and some snow activities. is 2 nights enough or should 1 extend another night?

Thanks so much and hope to hear from you soon. :)

Hakodate: beside the places listed above, is there any places of interest?

Hakodate has a hot spring resort, Yunokawa Onsen, in its outskirts. It is not really worth a daytime visit, but it could be a nice place to overnight (instead of central Hakodate) if you are a hot spring fan.

intend to stay 3 nights and could it be too long?

Yes, as mentioned before.

Asahikawa Zoo - heard that the zoo is small, is 1/2 a day enough?

I would call neither small nor large. Not including access, half a day should be enough. But it depends on how long you enjoy observing the animals and watching the shows. If you just walk through, you can see the entire zoo in an hour or two, but if you observe all the animals and see some of the shows, you could spend most of a day.

Ski Resort: Intend to stay in Niseko Hilton Village hotel. We will not be skiing, the children will like to play with the snow and some snow activities. is 2 nights enough or should 1 extend another night?

I think that two nights and one full day are enough, but if you wish to play and relax for another day and increase the chance of having good weather, you could extend. It is very much a personal decision to make.

Niseko or Furano 2009/9/2
Hi Uji,

I'm just wondering which of the above mentioned place is better for snow activities and scenery, since we will not be skiing but would like to try some of the following: snow tubbing, ice-fishing, horse riding, banana ride and nice hot spring.

Is ryounkaku tokachidake onsen in Furano and it is easily accessible as our mode of transport is by train/bus?

Thanks so much and hope to hear from you soon.

Niseko is the only winter resort town among the above listed places. The others are big cities.

I am not sure whether all of these activities are available in Niseko, but they do have a lot on offer there.

Now I recognize that you referred to "Niseko or Furano".

I believe that both places have a similar wide menu for activities, but I am not familiar with the details. Both places have some hot springs.

Is ryounkaku tokachidake onsen in Furano and it is easily accessible as our mode of transport is by train/bus?

There is a bus from Kamifurano Station, but there are only three round trips per day.

I think it looks fine. I don't know about the ice fishing, though.
