sumida river cruise 2009/8/30 19:54
we are planning to cruise to asakusa from the hamarikyu gardens. Which station will give the easiest access to the gardens. Some directions from the station to the gardens would also be helpfull. thanks

The boat stops at a pier inside the garden! People who get off the boat at Hama Rikyu have no choice but enter the garden.

If you are trying to find your way to get to Hamarikyu so that you can take the boat up the river to Asakusa, then:

(Hamarikyu) is a 10-15 minute walk from JR Shimbashi Station or Shiodome Station on the Oedo Subway Line and Yurikamome elevated train.

other way, maybe??? 2009/8/31 18:17
It can be a good idea to go to Tsukiji market first, then walk from Tsukiji to the Hama Rikyu gardens (over the Shiodome ramp), walk through the gardens THEN go on the cruise up the Sumida gawa: gets you to Asakusa for lunch.....
