Accomodation in Tokyo 2009/8/31 Tokyo 23-ku Hi, would like to find out if it's better to stay at Shijunku area (Shinjuku Prince Hotel) or Ikebukero (Sunshine Prince) area? Which is a more convenient location and is there any nightlife or night shopping available at both areas? Thanks in advance! by Jasmine (guest)   depends on ur inclination 2009/8/31 Jasmine, it really depends on what u like and intend to do. I've stayed at sunshine ike before the place is abt a 5-10 mins walk from the station thru some interesting street shops but there is a need to cross some streets. Ive not stay in the shinjuku one but if u are thinking of making day trips out of tokyo (mt fuji for example) then shinjuku is a convenient station as many trains out pass thru it. Its also good choice if u are taking the Nex from the airport as one of the stops is shinjuku. If ikeburo then u have to change trains.
