Choose what city to study in 2009/9/3 Hello, I'm planning on going to japan and study the language for about 6 months next year (starting jan) and I was looking up some different cities. I've visited Tokyo, and while I really enjoyed it I feel like I wouldn't want to be there for 6 months to study japanese. I'd rather choose a smaller city. The available cities are: Fukuoka, Gifu, Kyoto, Nagano, and Sendai. For some reason I'm into Sendai, mainly because of the climate. Not too cold and not too hot. But I do not know very much about them other than what it says on wikipedia. Anyone here feel like telling me which one of these I should choose? And why of course. Thanks by tykho   . 2009/9/10 Sendai can get pretty cold from a Tokyo-ers perspective, but generally speaking, a lot of locals say that it's a comfortable city to live in.
