Mt Aso farm land accomomdation 2009/9/16
Kumamoto
I plan to visit Mt Aso Farmland in Dec and was thinking of stay overnight in the farmland.

Base on the link I found on Mt Aso Farmland from your forum. http://www.asofarmland.co.jp/top.html

It seem that the farm do provide a few kind of accomodation. However I could not understand japanese or speak japanese and could not find out the cost to stay in their dome like house/village or private house and how to book it.

I would appreaciate if anyone can provide me any related information. Thanks

You can try to phone: 0967-67-2323
If they can't help you in English, I suggest to look for a different place to stay. Below are some possibilities:

Thanks again Uji san
I do find difficulty getting hold of them and communicating with them. They kept putting me on hold and I hang off because international call is too costly.

From your opnion is Aso farmland a fun place for kids and would it require a day to experience the things in the farm. I was worry that it have only different kind of spa which my kids are not very keen.

I am afraid, I have never been there and cannot judge.

Stopped there 2009/9/22
I've stopped there several times wondering what it was since the parking lot was huge with lots of cars and buses. It seemed to be mostly a shopping mall with vegetables, wines, and some strange boutique-type stores. Many shops had the same items, it seemed. There was also the hot spring at one end and the scattered "mushroom" cottages, but I didn't see a lot for me to do other than get ice cream out front while taking a break before hitting the traffic on Route 57, again. I now just drive by, but there could quite possibly be more there as it's a large complex.

Thanks 2009/9/22
Appreciate the feedback that you all had shed.

Will pop my curious head in it too when I am there but might drop the stay since it do not seem very popular.

Thanks... appreciate the truthful respond.
