Phone contract length - 12 or 24 months? 2009/9/17 I'm studying in Japan for 10 months starting in October, and I'd quite like to get a decent contract mobile phone for my time out there. (The prepaid models look alright, but I'd like to get some bells and whistles if I can.) But after browsing Softbank's website, I'm not entirely sure how long their contracts run for. The White Plan looks attractive, but I can't see anywhere if it's a 12 or 24 month contract (or even if it has a fixed length at all). Obviously I'm looking for a 12 month contract (I don't mind paying the extra two months or paying the cancellation fee, whichever is cheaper.) And I can't find any prices for handsets - will I pay up-front or will it be added on to the monthly fee? Thanks in advance. by Matt (guest)
