Nara Deer Park 2009/9/22 Nara City Hi, Does anyone know if the Nara Deer Park is closed between Dec 29 2009 and Jan 1 2010? Thank you. Kofukuji, Todaiji, and Kasuga Shrine are open year round. Nara is celebrating its 1300th anniversary as the capital of Japan. Festivities will be taking place year round.
