Suica & NEX package 2009/10/2
Narita
I am arriving @ Narita airport and staying one night @ Mercure Narita before moving to hotel in Shinjuku.

Can I buy the Suica & NEX package ticket @ Narita airport on day of arrival and reserve for next day travel from JR Narita station (not Narita airport station) to Shinjuku station?

Suica & NEX 2009/10/2
Colin,

The Suica & NEX package can only be used on the Narita Express trains from Narita Airport to central Tokyo. These do not stop at Narita station, but it would still save you money to get the train (or bus?) back to Narita Airport the next day, buy the ticket there and use it on the Narita Express to Shinjuku.

really? 2009/10/3
isnt it ok to reserve the NEX on the arrival day from the Airport station and catch the NEX on the 2nd day at Narita Station??

Just like reserving a Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto and catching the train at Shin-Yokohama?

I also think that it is not possible, but I don't think that anybody here knows the definite answer. Therefore, I recommend to just try it, i.e. try to make reservations from Narita Station with the NEX&Suica package when you arrive at the airport. And if it does not work, either return to the airport the next morning and use the package from there or take an alternative way into Tokyo, e.g. Skyliner or Keisei Limited Express.
