Fuji hakone pass cover? 2009/10/3
Hi,

Me and My dad and mum will visit tokyo during 9-18 Nov 09.

We have planed to stay over night at KAWAGUCHIKO and HAKONE YOMOTO (one night for each place). So far I got a room for 2 nights at Kawaguchico but not boked yet for Hakone Yomoto.

I wonder that if I bought Fuji Hakone Pass, is it cover like this:

DAY 1
Shinjuku----Kawaguchiko (by Chuo Highway bus)----Gotemba outlet----back to Kawaguchiko and stay 1 night. plz advise which wedside that provide time table.

DAY 2
Kawaguchiko-----Gotemba and travel around that areas with Fuji Hakone Pass----then back to Kawaguchiko to stay the second night (if I cannot find any place to sleep in Hakone Yomoto). IS IT ENOUGH TIME TO BACK TO catch the last bus to KAWAGUCHIKO?

Can any one plz advise

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Mink

Yes, the Fuji Hakone Pass covers all these buses. But note that if you take the highway bus from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko, you will have to take the Odakyu train to return from Hakone to Shinjuku. You cannot take the highway bus twice and use it to return to Shinjuku.

Also, you will lose a lot of time by taking the buses back and forth multiple times between Kawaguchiko and Gotemba. May I ask why you visit Kawaguchiko, at all? It seems to me that all you do there is spending the night.

Because
1 Mum wanna stay nd view Fujisan..that's it ^^
2 From the day that I write the question, I did not receive any confirmation from Hakone hostels yet.

That why 2 nights at Kawaguchiko.

Thanks god, today I got the confirmation from FujiHakone GuestHouse. So my new plan will be

Day 1 as the old version

Day 2 leave Kawaguchiko with 1st bus to Gotemba, take bus towards Togendai to Senkyoro-Mae, the travel around the lake and the area.
Stay at Fuji Hakone GuestHouse

Sound bettter?

I suggest you spend more time around KAWAGUCHIKO on day 1 where Mt Fuji is closer. On day 2 you visit the Gotemba outlet on the way to your Hakone hotel. On day 3 you focus on Hakone before returning to Tokyo late in the day or evening. This will make it 3 days/2 nights, with less travelling and more time in the major areas.
