JR Pass expiry 2009/10/8 Hi all, I am going to purchase a 7 day JR Pass for my travels from Osaka - Hiroshima - Kyoto. I will activate it on 15/12. When exactly does it expire? Will it be 11:59PM, 21/12 or 11:59PM 22/12? Also, I will be going from Kyoto to Tokyo on the 22nd for 5 more days and will buy SUICA cards to last for that time, before catching a train back to Narita Airport. Would it be worthwhile then to invest in a 14 day rail pass or just buy a SUICA card and use that? Thanks in advance! Tom by Tom Tucker (guest)   Calculate it 2009/10/8 If you activate on 15/12, you can use it up to 21/12, 11.59pm - 7 days. The most cost-effective way is to do all your long-distance travel within 7 days, ie Osaka - Hiroshima - Kyoto and Kyoto-Tokyo. Even so, have you compared the JR pass cost with the cost of individual tickets to make sure it is worth it? by kum (guest) rate this post as useful
