Snow in Sapporo 10th Dec? 2009/10/13 Sapporo Anyone knows based on past 3-5years, will there be snow in early December? I can only make it from 10th to 16 Dec '09 to visit places like Sapporo, Otaru, Noboribetsu, Hakodate. I find it such a pity if I missed the opportunity to have fun in winter snow. By the way how will the temp. be like? -10 deg celsius? To give you an idea, below are the snow heights of past years on December 10: 2008: none 2007: 4 cm 2006: 22 cm 2005: 4 cm 2004: 19 cm If there is no snow in Sapporo, you are likely to find it in slightly higher locations, such as the mountains around Sapporo or Niseko. by Uji rate this post as useful Snow in Sapporo and Hakodate 2009/10/15 Hi Uji, Thank you for your reply. It seems that there is no consistent pattern for snow fall in Sapporo, guess Hakodate will be even later. Hope this year will be a surprise for me when I am there. :-) By the way any idea how much will it cost for snow mobile activity for an hr at sapporo international ski ground? Could not find an exact or close range. Snow fall is very difficult to predict around the beginning of the winter. And the chances of snow in Hakodate are, indeed, lower.
