Kyoto to Itami Airport 2009/10/15 Toyonaka Has anyone have experience traveling from Kyoto to Itami Airport using public transportation? To save a few bucks, I would like to travel from Omiya Station to Itami. Based on Google map suggestion: Hankyu Kyoto Line, transfer at Minami-Ibaraki for Osaka monorail. Just wondering if it is worth the hassle since I would be dragging a huge luggage and traveling around 10am. by Angela (guest)   some info 2009/10/15 You also have an option to take a Airport Bus at JR Kyoto station(1280yen). I think Hankyu & Monorail is better way. But the train/monorail option via Minami-Ibaraki does not seem to bad either, especially if your hotel is around Omiya, because most buses only serve Kyoto Station (except some buses in the morning, that also serve Omiya): http://www.okkbus.co.jp/timetable/unchin.cgi?rosen=kyt_itm&mode=en I am not familiar with Minami-Ibaraki Station, but on a map it looks like it is not a difficult transfer. by Uji rate this post as useful
