Highway bus covered by JR pass 2009/10/18
Hello,
I know the JR pass is valid on certain highway buses.
May I ask
(1) if such a bus service (overnight) is available from Kyoto or Shinosaka to Tokyo?
(2) Does the bus come with a toilet?
Thanks.

May I ask
(1) if such a bus service (overnight) is available from Kyoto or Shinosaka to Tokyo?

Yes, the Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka route is one of only a few routes on which the Japan Rail Pass is valid on JR highway buses, including overnight buses.

Does the bus come with a toilet?

Yes. Furthermore, it makes several breaks along the way.

JR Bus Kanto 2009/10/18
Hi Uji,
In the website
http://www.jrbuskanto.co.jp/bus_route_e/

Under Kansai,
there are quite a number of Tokyo - Kyoto options.

Which is the one I can take to travel overnight from Kyoto to Tokyo?

Do I book and reserve the tickets in the same way as I reserve the JR tickets?

Thanks.

Which is the one I can take to travel overnight from Kyoto to Tokyo?

I think the pass is supposed to be valid on any JR bus between Kyoto and Tokyo, especially on the "Dream" and "Seishun Dream". I think it should also be valid on the "Premium Dream" buses, but I am not 100% sure.

Do I book and reserve the tickets in the same way as I reserve the JR tickets?

Yes, the JR bus tickets can also be reserved at the ticket counters of JR stations.

Overnight bus 2009/10/18
Hi Uji,
Thanks for your reply.
I am unsure if I have the courage to take up the challenge to take an overnight bus from Kyoto to Tokyo.
Also, for the few options available, I am unsure which is the best for me.
Did you see any email address in JR Bus Kanto website where I can make enquiries?
Thanks.
