Public baths overnight? 2009/10/25 05:36
I read -on this site- that public baths found in larger cities, are open 24 hours with special overnight rates, and can be used as alternative budget accommodation.

Are they many? If they are I will find them. Is it possible to travel in Japan sleeping "the public bath way"?

I travelled in Korea before -sleeping- in JinJil Bang
(Korean Sauna) so coooooollllll.

No, just a handful. You better research in advance. Oedo Onsen and LaQua are famous ones in Tokyo. Spa World in Osaka.

Only if you overnight in cities that have such baths.

Many (some?) of the baths have areas for sleeping with minimal "accommodation" (aka: just a blanket or a blanket and a hard bed).

You'd still have to check with the specific hot spring.
