Travel to Niigata by Night Train

I planned to go to Yuzawa ski resort in Niigata from Osaka by night train (JR : Kitakuni: Osaka – Niigata).

May I know once I alight at the Train Station in Niigata, how can I go to Yuzawa ski resort??

There should be an Information Center, but why not look it up beforehand, as well:

It says that you can go to Yuzawa Station by train and then walk 5 minutes to the resort.

From Niigata, you have the option between local train and shinkansen:

By shinkansen: 50 minutes, 5000 yen
By local train: 3 hours, 2210 yen, one transfer
