Nakasendo hiking trail in winter? 2009/11/1 Kiso Valley Hi, Is it feasible to walk the Nakasendo trail from Magome to Tsumago and vice-versa in late December, or not such a good idea at that time of year? Actually, I'm trying to decide whether to make the roughly 7 hour trip from Takayama to Nikko and stay there for a few days before finishing my trip in Tokyo, or instead go to the Kiso Valley towns of Magome and Tsumago etc. I'm the indecisive type, so any thoughts would be appreciated.
