I'm going to Tokyo this summer and will be staying in Ikebukuro...however, does anyone know where i can go and eat breakfast in the early morning?? (anywhaere that opens from about 7am) In addition, does anybody know any places that are decently priced?? (quite cheap but still good quality)

Thanks!! (^o^) lol

Posting Uji's answer to you on his behalf, as he posted it to the wrong question (hope you don't mind Uji).

There are convenience stores and small cafe shops everywhere inside and around Ikebukuro Station. Convenience stores are open typically 24 hours. Some of the cafe shops should be open by 7am.

I don't know if it is considered fast food or not, but I love Doutour"s bagels...(and they have coffee, etc) They are everywhere, I'm sure near where you are too. :)

If you are a student, then it all adds up, I suggest buying food and cooking a few times as well.

Do you want Japanese food or Western? 2010/2/19 19:04
There are lots of small bakeries in Ikebukuro, especially on the way to the Sunshine 60 building. Inside the Sunshine Building (I have no idea when it opens...) there are also LOTS and LOTS of restaurants, mostly Japanese, as well as a few small crepe sort of places and for some reason, about three McDonald's. Oh, and a burger king.

Hey all!!!

Thank u very much for all your replies!! I will research all the places which you suggested and see if any of them have any webistes.

I would prefer to eat a japanese breakfast as I want the full japanese experience; however, just for breakfast, western is fine...either or really! lol

If anyone knows of any other places, please be sure to let me know!

Doumo!! (^_^)

You'll have lots of options! 2010/5/7 03:18
There are lots and lots of cheap breakfast places in Ikebukuro. I found several coffeshops with set breakfast meals for ~300-500 yen.

To name a specific place, it would really help to know which part of Ikebukuro you are staying in. I stayed on the west side so i know of more places there. :)
