Train Fare 2010/2/27 12:10
I will be visiting Tokyo with my two kids (one 15 and the other 11) - first time. I read that there are child discount for kids below 12. If I am using the JR round lone in Tokyo, how do I purchase the child discounted fare - at the vending machines or do I have to go to a manned ticket counter.

You can buy the child fare at the vending machine.

After the button of the mark of the child on the left of the vending machine is pushed, a right charge button is pushed.
There is a button that is attached together of the child's mark next to the mark of the adult, too.
The child charge is half the price of an adult charge.

When a Tokyo free ticket is bought at the station in the under metropolitan management subway, Yamanote line of JR can also get on.

Child 790 yen of adult 1580 yen.

(The Corporation subway should buy another ticket. )
