I wanted to ask whether does the Kyoto Subway One Day Card exist? On Japan Guide and Wikitravel, they mention its existence but its not mentioned on the Kyoto City Transport website here: http://www.city.kyoto.jp/koho/eng/access/transport.htmlIs it something the municipal is trying to keep secret from foreign tourists?

Cheaper option?

Thanks for confirming it Uji.
If that's the case, if I only need to use the subway and city bus(excl. going to Arashimaya) for a day, it would be a cheaper option to buy a City Bus All-day Pass and a Kyoto Subway One Day Card than to buy the Kyoto Sightseeing One-day pass card.

Yes, if you do not visit the more outlying areas like Arashiyama, the combination of the two passes will be cheaper. But note that depending on your itinerary, single tickets or a prepaid card could come even cheaper.
