Can anyone suggest a ryokan onsen near Tokyo which accepts single travellers, preferably with a nice view/rotemburo? THanks.
I only have one night and can't go too far from Tokyo but would like to experience the full ryokan-onsen experience.

There aren't many ryokans which take singles & the higher the rate, less likely. National Lodge in Hakone, called Hakone Lake Hotel which is a gem, imo, for the rate(less than 10,000yen including 2 great meals), quiet bird & nature surroundings, view of Lake Ashi from room, etc. but it only has large indoor onsens with big picture window. This takes singles & not listed in other travel sites.. http://www.hakone-lakehotel.com/english/englishindex.htmIt is run by Odakyu and have a package rail + stay for a very low price. Ask at Odakyu Shinjuku travel info. Otherwise, come to Yufuin, Oita, Kyushu. I have a recommendation for a ryokan w/ private kashikiri roten buro onsen (3 of them) that has a low rate and takes singles during weekdays.. http://www.yawaraginosato.com/onsen_yawaragi.htm
