Historic Village of Hokkaido

Hey guys,
I'm currently in Sapporo and leaving tomorrow at 12pm.
I tried to go to the Historic Village of Hokkaido (Kaitaku no Mura) today but did not find the proper train so I gave up.
I wanted to go tomorrow before I leave but I have a couple of questions: - are 2 hours in the vilage enough to visit? - how often does the bus between Shinrin-koen and the village run?
As I only speak very little Japanese, I cannot ask anyone here...
Thanks!

are 2 hours in the vilage enough to visit? It depends on the person. Two hours in the village will allow you to see a lot. Everything if you travel at a fast pace and do not stop much for meals, shopping and hands-on experiences (if there are any - I can't remember). But if you prefer a slow pace and want to stop for meals, shopping and other activities, two hours might not be enough. how often does the bus between Shinrin-koen and the village run? Here are the departure times: http://www.busdia.com/pol/pol/05502.htmNote that you can also board these buses from Shin-Sapporo Station alternatively (see under "Kaitaku no mura"): http://www.busdia.com/pol/pol/0122A.htm

Hi GC, Here is what I found: The Historic Village of Hokkaido is located in the Nopporo Forest Park (Shinrin Koen) outside of Sapporo. From Sapporo Station, take a local train on the JR Hakodate Line to Shinrin Koen Station (17 minutes, 260 yen, frequent departures) from where the museum is a 5 minute bus ride or 15 to 20 minute walk. http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e5303.html
