7 Day Japan Rail Pass 2010/5/10 06:08
I am thinking about staying in Japan for 8 nights but my concern is what to do becuz JR 7 days pass covers well...only 7 days. What to do with last two days? Which pass should I get instead since on the last day I will have to return to airport from Tokyo.

I am getting hotel in Tokyo but I want to visit outside Tokyo too such as visit Kyoto (nothing fancy, maybe one or two temples and to dine). I would like to see Mt. Fuji if possible too. Do I have time to do this especially that I have to return to Tokyo before train closes for the night?

You can simply pay regular fares on the days when you do not have a rail pass. How to travel between Tokyo and Narita Airport:

As for Kyoto, I recommend to spend at least two days there. Here is how to travel between Tokyo and Kyoto:

Mount Fuji can be visited in a one day trip from Tokyo, but staying overnight is also very attractive:

what time planes? 2010/5/10 08:24
What time do your planes arrive and leave?
It may be worthwhile to consider the Suica Nex package for your arrival and next day, then JR Pass for the rest which would get you back to Narita.

The time I arrive is about 2:30pm and time of depart is about 6:00pm.

Didn't know about that NEX deal. Thanks.

Since I will be visiting Kyoto from Tokyo, what time should I leave Kyoto to make it back to Tokyo to catch the last JR train back to my hotel?
What is the JR train schedule in Tokyo?
