Uno ferry-train connection

I plan on visiting Naoshima from Okayama and am confused by the travel information I researched:
direct train Okayama - Uno
dep. 7.40 - arrives 8.23
ferry Uno - Naoshima
departs 8.22
Is that correct? Are the schedules not timed to make a connection possible?
