TOKYO
N'ex + Suica Shinjuku Washington Hotel Family travel, teens+adults
Day 1: 6:00PM
Explore Shinjuku/ ?
I don't want to go far and I was thinking of exploring/ walking around the area. Suggestions for places? Walking route? Other areas?
Day 2:
Harajuku (Meiji Jingu Shrine, Yoyogi Park) Shibuya Ikebukuro Sunshine City Roppongi Mori Towers Omoide Yokocho
More places? Switch order? Will it take a whole day to cover these places? I predominantly want to stay in Western Tokyo.
Day 3:
Asakusa Sensoji Temple Odaiba
Suggestions here?
When should I buy tickets to go to Osaka? And where? (Can't speak Japanese)
OSAKA
Day 4: Shinkansen to Osaka. I think we're staying at Osaka Fujiya Hotel.
Early train but I don't want to get stuck in Japan's rush hour with luggage so what time would be best?
Day 5:
Rest of day 4 and day 5: what should my itinerary be? I want to cover • Osaka Castle • Nanba • Umeda • Den-den town and any other interesting sections of Osaka. I would like to walk and explore and take the subway to go to more distant places.
Day 6:
540 yen train to Kyoto what time? I want to go:
Fushimi Inari Kiyomizudera Yasaka Shrine (20 min) Gion (Shirakawa) Karasuma-Oike: Ippodo Chaho
What order? July is extremely hot so I'm worried about the heat + walking so much. I would like to beat the crowd to Kiyomizudera but still be there late enough for the shops on Chawan-zaka to be open. I would like to see YASAKA shrine at night. Gion dinner or lunch ( those summer wooden structures over the water. )
Day 7:
6:00 PM flight
Anything to do in the morning?
THANK YOU!!

The Gion Festival takes place in July. If you're going to be in Japan around the 15-17th its worth it to be in Kyoto during that time.
