climbing M.Fuji and the moon phases

i plan to climb M.Fuji around 9-11 of August.But they are new moon days.
i am afraid that there won.t have enogh light.So it will be dangerous for climbing.
Do the moon phases really have an effect?

You need to bring a flashlight regardless you the moon phases. Even if it is full moon, there is a change that it is overcast and pitch dark. If you have a good flashlight, it will be okay, assuming that you follow other rules of common sense and prepare and equip yourself properly, otherwise.
