Between Biei & Furano

We'll visit Hokkaido this winter. Arrive at Asahikawa airport and depart from Hakodate. But ... we cannot decide whether to stay in Biei or Furano. Is 1 day enough for Biei and Furano? or 2 days?
Which one is a better place to stay?
Any suggestion please ...

It depends on the person and on how much you want to see/do. If you plan to ski, I recommend two days. Otherwise, the main attractions an be packed into a single day.
Furano has much more accommodation choices than Biei.
