Climb Mt Fuji early July 2010 with child

My husband and I are planning to climb Mt Fuji on the 10Jul 2010 weekend. Our daughter is 5 1/2 years old will be climbing with us. Do you think it is possible to climb at this time of the year with a child?

I don't think a child of that age has the stamina to climb such an altitude difference. If you have the stamina to carry her for considerable parts of the climb which is strenuous even without "luggage", then it would be possible. I don't recommend it.
