What do i see/do in Akihabara?

Hello everyone

I am going to Japan very shortly and i am very exited for my trip. I will be in Tokyo for about a week and i have many places that im going to see. One district i am looking very much forward too is Akihabara. Some places i know im going to like the Tokyo Animation Center, Gundam Cafe and various Maid Cafes.

Since this is my fist time in this famous district of Tokyo. i dont know much on other attractions i can check out while im there. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what stores/events/places or anything else in Akihabara is worth checking out?
