yamanote line continuous?

Searching train routes to Shinjuku, the directions tell us to take the Yamanote line (outer loop) to Osaki, and then lists the next step to take the Yamanote line (outer loop) from Osaki to Shinjuku. Does the train just keep going around in a continuous loop? Or do we have to get off and go to a different train, or get off and back on the same train?

Yes, most train keep going around in a continuous loop. Only occasionally a train is "retiring" at Osaki Station, e.g. around the end of the morning peak, etc.
