How can I get from Takayama to Ainokura?

I would like to go to Takayama to Ainokura by bus or by train, do you know the timetable and prices, please?

Ainokura is on the bus line between Takaoka and Ogimachi/Shirakawa-go

To go there from Takayama you first take a bus from Takayama to Ogimachi/Shirakawa-go and then transfer to the bus going to Takaoka. Ogimachi/Shirakawa-go is on the bus line between Takayama and Kanazawa

If you opt for JR, there is a more than 2 hr train ride (with 2 transfers) from Takayama to Takaoka and then take the bus down to Ainokura from Takaoka.

Thanks for the answer. Do you tnink is better to rent a car from Takayama instead to go by public transport?

Shirakawa-go is easy enough just by using the bus, but for Gokayama a rental car is a very good idea.

We drove from Toyama and were able to cover Ainokura, Kaminashi, Suganuma and Gokayama Gassho no Sato in a morning.
