No, I have never seen one. I think the airport is the best place to exchange money. Or maybe major banks of hotels in large cities.

are there 24 hour money changers in tokyo and are they anywhere (hotels, akihabara, jr stns)? There aren't really any widely available 24 hour money changers in Tokyo, however I think you may have a few options if you're stuck in the middle of the night and need cash. The easiest would be if your hotel offers exchange services then they MAY be able to an exchange for you at an odd hour. I recall a few hotels however that restrict the hours that they'll do exchanges so this probably isn't an option at all hotels. A cash withdrawal from a postal atm may be another option, but only the Tokyo, Shinjuku, and Shibuya main offices have 24 hour atms so you'll have to be able to get to one of them. http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2208.htmlwhat is the current exchange rate of a US $ to yen?It about 85.7 yen to the dollar at the moment, and you can exchange at Narita for 82.4 yen/dollar. Check the daily exchange rate at Narita here: http://www.narita-airport.or.jp/exchange_e/index.htmldo jr stations for shinkansen ticket accept credit cards?yes
