izumo under construction ?

I think go to izumo in october 2010

I read on another forum that the shrine is
under renovation ? and it's impossible to see anything

It'is true or wheer can I read this information

Izumo Taisha is under construction until 2013 during which the main building is covered up. I would make alternative plans.

I didn't know about the construction work when I visited Izumo Taisha earlier this summer, so it was a bit of a disappointment.

It's still possible to visit the shrine area and see the other buildings, but with the main building covered up, it doesn't look as impressive as in the pictures.
