Karatsu Kunchi Festival Question

Hi,
i was planning to go to Karatsu in Kyushu for the Karatsu Kunchi Festival as a sidetrip from Fukuoka. But I'm confused upon the dates. Is it an the 2nd to 4th of November or on the first November weekend, this year this would be 6th/7th of November.
Has anybody been there before?
