3,5 days Trip 2010/9/20 06:46
Please give me advice.
At October 1 from 10am i will be in Tokyo
then from Oct 2 till Oct 4 12am in Niigata but then... I need advices
Actually I want to visit Kyoto and Nikko or maybe Tokyo again (cause at Oct 1 i will be with my colleagues so its hard to be independent)

So my route as follow
Oct4 Niigata depart11 am - Kyoto arrival aprox 5pm, - accommodation and evening in Kyoto
Oct 5 - Arashiyama full day (may be its too much?)
Oct 6 - Kyoto (historical) till evening (or full day)
and here i begin top doubt. What to do next
1. Take Oct7 first train connection to Nikko (arrival 11-17am) and spend the rest of the day in Nikko (is it enough to get see maybe Ryuzu anf Kegon waterfalls). Oct 8 - 6am depart to Narita (my flight at 12-00)
OR

2. Take Oct6 last train connection to Tokyo and Spend Oct 7 there. (if no other variants)

My hobby is Nature Aquarium so for me Natural views is very important so I like I would like to plunge into the whirlpool of Japanese nature.. is it possible with my trip and dates - please any suggestion.
Thanks
Larry

Hi! Visitor.I tried thinking has created your travel itinerary.
If you need further information I will gladly help you.

accommodation and evening in Kyoto

Oct 5 Kyoto (Arashiyama full day)
(may be its too much?)
Since there are many good spots and I do not think so.

Oct 6 Kyoto (historical) till evening

accommodation in Tokyo(recommend the hotel near Asakusa station)

Oct 7 first train connection to Nikkou (Kegon NO,1)
Asakusa depart Toubu line 7:30--9:16 Toubu Nikkou arrival
including round-trip to attractions such as Ryuzu and Kegon waterfalls
Last train connection to Asakusa(Kinu NO,140)
Toubu Nikou depart Toubu line 19:33--21:35 Asakusa arrival
accommodation(possibly the same as last night's hotel)

Oct 8 - 6am depart to Narita (my flight at 12-00)

I hope you could help.

Nikkou 2010/9/22 09:36
Hi! Larry

So you think i get in time to see both waterfalls?
yes! Nikkou----Ryuzu (It takes an hour by bus)
This place is most distant from the Nikou station.

May be you can suggest me best 1day trip program for Nikko?
yes. Make it easy. There are several questions.

Do you understand Japanese at all?
Bus Station, such as Japanese(if you were to bring Translated into English) if you understand?
Do you allow a choice of Taxi tour? (23,280yen 4 hours)
Do you allow a choice of tour bus? (But excluding Ryuzu waterfall)
Do you want to rent a car? (International driver's license required)

Also is the autumn foliage is start in Nikko at early October?
It is always the best season. But this year is unknown.Because, This summer was a terrible heat wave.

Dear Naniwanojoe 9sorry dont now you real name)

Unfortunately i learn Japanese only 2 month so my vocab is small.

Taxi tour is now allowable due to budget limit.

Bus tour is possible - but will it allow me to get most natural filings

I have a driver lisence but not sure is it international and valid.
Im from Ukriane..

Tokyo? 2010/9/23 04:41
There so much to see in Tokyo as well, I don't think the 2 days you have there is quite enough. If you are doing Kyoto and Arashiyama I'm not sure Nikko is necessary. Osaka has a famous aquarium that you may be interested in.
