Early bus from Togendai to Odawara

Hi, I want to leave early from our hotel near togendai to odawara to catch the 10.09 Hikari.
do the buses start running pretty early? (on a friday) times from the japanese timetable page would be helpful.
how long does it take to get from togendai to odawara? am i better off getting off at hakone-yumoto and catching a train to odawara?
I will also have the hakone free pass - please suggest a better route if there is with luggage to get to odawara.
