Hello, I will be travelling to Hokkaido this late December and would appreciate some advice. I am planning to go to Hakodate, Niseko ski resort, Noboribetsu and Otaru, but I'm not sure how to plan the route. I will be going to Hakodate first as I'm taking a train from Tokyo. What route would be best if I want to visit all the places mentioned? Also, the hot springs at Niseko, is it comparable to the ones in Noboribetsu? I've been to Noboribetsu and stayed at Dai-ichi Takimotokan, and absolutely loved it.
Thanks in advance for any advice given.

If you are starting from Hakodate, the next place would be Noboribetsu. From Noboribetsu, if you are using the JR Rail Pass and returning to Tokyo, I would go Otaru, Niseko and then back to Hakodate via Oshamambe (not via Sapporo). Train times can be checked here: http://www.hyperdia.comIf you are leaving Hokkaido via New Chitose Airport, there is a bus service from Niseko resort to the airport: http://www.niseko.ne.jp/en/access.html

The hot springs in Noboreibetsu are much better than those in Niseko. There are not many indoor bathing facilities in the whole country that compare to the ones at the Takimotokan.
