Inexpensive Accommodation in Okinawa

I am going to Japan in early December this year. I am going to Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa. I have no problem finding cheap accommodation in Tokyo and Osaka, but I'm still unsure of Okinawa. There is a chance that I have a free place to stay with a friend in Okinawa, but there are some kinks.
I want to have a back-up plan. Does anyone know of any cheap accommodation in Okinawa? I prefer not to stay in a hostel. Something more along the lines of a capsule hotel or cheap business hotel. Any other suggestions are fine too! Thanks in advance!
