Hey guys, I'll be spending 6 - 7 nights in Japan, just wondering if I should stay in Tokyo the whole way or include Sapporo in my list of destinations? I'll be travelling with a friend. Also not too sure where I should visit, any tips and help would be appreciated!

I'm with RobBeer... Plenty of things to do in Tokyo to keep you occupied all the 7 days. Maybe a visit to other areas nearer would be much better instead of going all the way to Sapporo?
Any reason why you are choosing Sapporo?

Tokyo is not Japan

Of course you can stay in Tokyo and thereabout for a full week if you include nearby areas such as Nikko, Kamakura. Sapporo is rather a long trip in that "short" stay. If your travel arrangements are not finalised, you could consider entering Japan through Tokyo and make your way to Kyoto and leave Japan through Osaka. Just a thought ;) Enjoy your trip

My recommendation will be to spend 2 to 3 nights in Kyoto. It is my favorite city in Japan, and there are tons of places to visit there. On top, it is really the most "traditional Japanese City" in my mind and is worth the visit.
Enjoy.

I am going to Tokyo and Okinawa and I wanted to know if it would be cheaper taking a ferry than a plane and if so does anybody have any info on it like how to make a booking or the days it leaves? It would be highly appreciated.
