Transportation and routes

Hi, we are travelling with a young child to Japan in Mid-Dec 10 for the first time. Could you please recommend a suitable route from:
Osaka - Fujikawaguchikomachi (stay overnight)- Thomas Land - Tokyo

How far is Thomas Land from Lake kawaguchi by the recommended trasportation?

Take a direct hikari shinkansen from Osaka to Mishima and then a bus to Fujikyu Highland, where the Thomas Land is located.

On the next day, take a bus from Kawaguchiko Station or Fujikyu Highland to Tokyo. Fujikyu Highland is just one station away from Kawaguchiko Station. Here are some basics:
