Arashiyama Hanatorou

My family will visit Arashiyama on 16Dec and it will be nice to stay and watch the Hanatorou in the evening. Can anyone advise what time the Hanatorou ends and is it still possible to ride the Keifuku tram to Kyoto? Will we be able to take the local bus to Saga-Arashiyama stn to return to Kyoto the same evening?

Yes! Alternatively, you could also take the JR train or the Hankyu trains. It depends where in Kyoto you want to go. JR is recommended for going to Kyoto Station. Hankyu is recommended for going somewhere along the Shijo Street in central Kyoto.

Yes, but I don't recommend it. The buses are likely to be very busy, and there is a high risk of them getting stuck in traffic jams for a long time.
