Hi all, I am intending to visit Hamura and Fussa City this December to look for my friend. While there, i wish to explore the area..
However.. i hope to seek opinion if there are any attractions or sight-seeing places near Hamura and Fussa city during Winter season..
And is it safe for a girl to travel there alone? I feel that those places are very laid-back as they are not tourist spots..
Thxs for any help provided!

Yokota Base of US Airforce is in Fussa City. It's huge. Other than that, I don't know any famous things in Fussa or Hamura. Both are small cities on the western outskirts of Tokyo. Mostly residential areas and with some shopping streets and parks and factories.
But if you ask your friend or other local people, you'll get better information. (Actually I've lived in Tokyo for long but never been there. Sorry.)

Hi Japanboy, Thanks for the info!
I agree there isn't much/any attractions in Fussa/Hamura city.. hmm.. i am re-considering to even visit there or not..
Japan, just Tokyo alone, is huge! It is not surprising if you haven't visited there before. =P
Hehe.. Thanks!

Hi geogeek, Thanks for the suggestion!
I have considered Mt Mitake before.. but that is even further away than expected.. i was thinking just hanging around Fussa/Hamura city previously.. and had no intention to travel further westwards from Tokyo..
It will be worth a consideration though..
Thank you!
