Public transportation around Kanto 2010/12/3 09:47
I am going to Tokyo for 7 days in mid December. I plan to spend half the time in the city and the other half for day trip Kamakura, Yokohama and possibly Nikko.
Can you please help me to decide what type of train pass is the best for this type of trip.
Thanks so much.

A Suica card (possibly as part of the NEX&Suica package) for everything except for the daytrip to Nikko, for which I recommend a free pass.

About Nikko free passes:

Use the Kamakura Enoshima Free Kippu pass for travel to/from and around Kamakura. It will work out cheaper than single tickets if you need to travel around the Kamakura area:

It is available from vending machines at JR stations in the Tokyo area.
