Where to stay in Takayama.

Hi, I'm traveling around Yokohama now and planning to ahead to Takayama area. It seems to have some traditional houses in that area. I'm looking for cheap Minshuku or Japanese style Washitsu. Any recommendation?

I was in Takayama (if you mean Hida Takayama) last May, and stayed at Minshuku Uenoya:

It is right near a Family Mart (if I recall correctly - it was a convenience store, in any case) and is also in the main old town area. The lady who was always in there running the place (the whole family seems to live there) was very nice, and the rooms were very clean.

Definitely recommended!

This minshuku is reasonably cheap and is at good location. Most spots are walking distance.
I stayed there and really liked the river in front of it.
