Travelling alone in Japan 2010/12/9 01:07
Hi to all.

I have booked a Free-and-Easy trip to Tokyo in March next year. Flight details are already confirmed, however I have overlooked the minimum required age for booking of hotels.

I am currently 17 this year, my birthday falls on July 20, so technically I will be only be 18 on 20 July 2011.

I've recently known that the minimum age to book a hotel is 18. Is there anyway out of this? Do Ryokans or Hostels in Tokyo area accept those of 17 years?

For those who have stayed alone in Japan and are below age 18, pls do share your experience on this matter.

Much help is appreciated. Thanks. Best if you leave a name for any specific hostels/ryokans/hotels that accept 17 years olds.
