Confused with the railway route

Hi,

Anyone can advice how can i get from Hinshicho station to Shinjuku Station? And this is the first i going Japan and i am totally confused by the Metro line and JR Line.

Try to search on line on the differences but not able to.

Need help here.

There is no station by the name Hinshicho! Do you mean Kinshicho? Kinshicho is a direct ride by the yellow colored Chuo/Sobu Line. Or you could shave off a few minutes by taking the orange Chuo Line from Shinjuku to Ochanomizu and make an easy tranfer to the yellow Chuo/Sobu Line there:
