Hi, my sister and her friend are stuck in nikko now. Please advise if the train service (from nikko to tokyo) has resumed or will be resuming. They need to get back to tokyo to fly home. Thanks so much!

Tobu Nikko/Isesaki Line (Nikko-Tokyo):
Running only between Tokyo and Minamikurihashi Station, but not all the way to Nikko, no word on timing of full resumption
JR Nikko Line (Nikko-Utsunomiya):
not running today, no word on re-opening date
JR Utsunomiya Line (Utsunomiya-Tokyo):
stopped service, no word on resumption
JR Tohoku Shinkansen (Utsunomiya-Tokyo):
not running today, unlikely to run tomorrow, but no official word

As of 13:00, all Tobu trains between Nikko and Tokyo (Asakusa) except the limited express trains have resumed operation.
